Back in September of 2018, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, then 14-years-old, revealed that she and 32-year-old Drake texted each other on a regular basis.

“I love him,” Brown told Access Hollywood. “We just texted each other the other day and he was like ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like ‘I miss you more.”

Brown added that she and Drake they “about boys, he helps me.”

Back then many people were put off, saying Drake texting with a 14-year-old was creepy and borderline, if not full blown, “grooming” of a child.

Fast forward a year and in an interview with Vanity Fair, 17-year-old Billie Eilish also says the new 33-year-old rapper regularly exchanges texts with her as well.

“Drake is like the nicest dude I’ve ever spoken to. I mean, I’ve only like texted him, but he’s so nice,” said Eilish. “Like, he does not need to be nice, you know what I mean? He’s at a level in his life where he doesn’t need to be nice, but he is, you know?”

Once again, people were creeped out by the fact that Drake exchanges texts with a famous girl in her teens, with some wondering why a 33-year-old man even has these teenage girls’ phone numbers let alone is texting them all the time.

People also brought up previous instances of Drake’s behavior around underage women.

Others pointed out that if Drake wasn’t famous, him texting teen girls would send out much bigger red flags.

Harmless friendship or not, it’s certainly inappropriate.
